Celebrate the 2021 homecoming festivities with Dickinson State University Oct. 3-10. This action-packed week includes the always-popular parade, alumni banquet, homecoming concert, athletic events and more.

Homecoming T-shirts featuring this year’s theme Hawks are Up! can be purchased in May Hall room 318 for $10, and students may pick one up free of charge with a valid DSU ID.

The following events are open to the public:

SUNDAY, OCT. 3

• DSU Softball Games | 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. | North Softball Complex | Free
  Come cheer on the Blue Hawk softball team as they host Dawson Community College and Miles Community College in a Sunday double-header. Ice-cream will be served in mini DSU helmets in-between the games.

TUESDAY, OCT. 5

• Vitalant Blood Drive | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Student Center Ballroom | Free

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 6

• JV Volleyball vs Miles Community College | 6 p.m. | Scott Gym | $5
  Come cheer on your JV volleyball squad as they take on MCC

• Blue Hawk Pep Rally | 7 p.m. | Scott Gym | Free
  Come cheer on the Blue Hawks! Students will have a chance at winning a $750 scholarship by coming to the pep rally. Pizza and the RG Wild Entertainment Photo Booth will be available starting at 7 p.m. followed by the Pep Rally hosted by the DSU Heritage Foundation, Hawk Talk, DSU Cheer Team, the DSU Pep Band, and DSU Athletics. Prizes will also be given out!

THURSDAY, OCT. 7

• Volleyball vs. Mayville State University | 3 and 5 p.m. | Scott Gym | Free with DSU ID; Single game ticket – $5; Multiple game ticket – $8
  Come dressed in your best 80’s outfit as you cheer on your Blue Hawk JV and Varsity volleyball teams as they take on the Comets of Mayville State! Arrive early to grab some sweet 80’s swag, and prizes will be awarded!

• Alumni Fellows & Honorees Banquet | 5:30 p.m. | Roosevelt Grand Dakota Hotel | $35 | RSVP required

FRIDAY, OCT. 8

• Recognition Ceremony | 9 a.m. | Student Center Ballroom | Free
  Join us as we recognize the DSU Campus as the first historic district in Dickinson. 

• DSU Alumni & Friends Golf Scramble | 11 a.m. | Heart River Golf Course | $100/person or $400/team
  Join the DSU Heritage Foundation at the annual golf scramble! Grab your friends and enjoy 18 holes of golf to support DSU! Tickets are available by calling the DSU Heritage Foundation at (701) 482-2557.

• Volleyball vs. Presentation College | 2 and 4 p.m. | Scott Gym | Free with DSU ID; Single game ticket – $5; Multiple game ticket – $8
  It’s a WHITE OUT! Come dressed in your best ‘White Out’ outfit and cheer on your Blue Hawks as they take on the Saints of Presentation College. White rally ‘Hawks are Up’ towels will be given out during the game while supplies last! Prizes will also be given away!

• Homecoming Parade | 9 a.m. | Participants meet at the BAC Parking Lot | Free

• Hall of Fame Unveiling | Noon | BAC – Lowman-Walton Concourse | Free
  Come see the newest project as the DSUHF unveils the Melanie Lowman-Walton and Rob Walton Athletic Hall of Fame!

• Football Game | 1 p.m. | BAC | Free with DSU ID; Student – $8; Adult – $10

• Parade of Champions | Half-Time | BAC | Free
  An annual tradition in which all this year’s Homecoming Honorees and Inductees are recognized. The 2021 Homecoming Court will also be recognized with this year’s Homecoming King and Queen during halftime.

SUNDAY, OCT. 10

• Rotary Pancake Karnival | 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Dickinson Eagles Club | In advance – $6; At the door – $10
  Come out and support the Dickinson Rotary Club at their annual Homecoming breakfast. Every year, the Rotary Club hosts the event to raise money to help with eradicating Polio globally!
