Heather Fahy and Osamudiamen Naomi Uwagbai were named Dickinson State University’s (DSU) 2022 Outstanding Graduates during the Outstanding Graduate awards ceremony held Friday, May 13, in the DSU Student Center Ballroom.
Fifty-eight Dickinson State University (DSU) students presented their achievements in research, humanities, and the arts during the 2022 Celebration of Scholars event Saturday, April 30, at the Biesiot Activities Center and DSU Agriculture Building on the DSU campus. Students presented their scholarly work to an audience of peers, faculty, and community members through either an oral or poster presentation.
Nineteen students have been nominated by their respective departments for Dickinson State University’s (DSU) 2022 Outstanding Graduate Award. This award is the highest honor bestowed on graduating seniors by the University.
The following students will be honored by Dickinson State University at the Outstanding Graduate ceremony Friday, May 13, at 3 p.m. in the DSU Student Center Ballroom where the winner(s) will be announced.

March is Women’s History Month, and Dickinson State University (DSU) is celebrating it by putting on two events spotlighting influential women in the world and the direct impact women have in Dickinson.
“The Women’s Voices Committee exists to bring DSU, Dickinson, and southwestern North Dakota together to celebrate women’s achievements during Women’s History Month,” said Michelle Stevier-Johanson, Women’s Voices chair and instructor of English at DSU.
Dickinson State University’s Campus Activity Board and Social Science Department are very pleased to host the Dickinson premier of the locally produced theatrical film “A Heart Like Water” at 6 p.m. in Beck Auditorium Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022. The film runs approximately 45 minutes, and a panel discussion with local historians and DSU students will follow.
Dickinson State University and North Dakota State University (NDSU) continue to recognize the need to provide timely, effective reclamation information to affected stakeholders in the Bakken energy development. This effort began in February 2013 when the first reclamation workshop was held in Dickinson.
