Dickinson State University (DSU) announced that it will be awarding an Honorary Bachelor of Arts degree to Sandi Lang Frenzel during the 2022 Commencement ceremony Saturday, May 14, 2022. Frenzel is an area philanthropist and entrepreneur, and well known for her business savvy and love for her community.

Hansen gift allows DSU to provide state-of-the-art nursing education
Glenice Hansen, BSN, MS and Dale Hansen, DDS have generously donated $100,000 to Dickinson State University’s (DSU) Department of Nursing. This gift, the largest ever given to the department, will support the renovation of the entire second floor of Murphy Hall, which will become the Glenice Hansen Nursing Center in honor of the family’s gift.

Empowerment speaker Pierce J. Brooks ’13 returns to campus to inspire fellow Blue Hawks
Empowerment speaker and coach Pierce J. Brooks traveled to the Dickinson State University (DSU) campus in late April to speak at a series of events sponsored by DSU’s Campus Activities Board and Multicultural Committee. Brooks, a former Blue Hawk men’s basketball player, addressed the audience at his commencement ceremony in 2013.

Elevating Blue Hawk athletics: DSU partners with Sanford Health to provide athletic training coverage

Dickinson State University (DSU) athletics and Sanford Health have partnered to provide superior athletic training to Blue Hawk student-athletes. Sanford Health will fund two athletic trainer positions within the DSU athletic department to continue the commitment of safety, care and injury-prevention for Blue Hawk student-athletes.

Representatives of the DSU Heritage Foundation (DSUHF) recently traveled to Mesa, Arizona, to host the Dickinson State University (DSU) Alumni & Friends Golf Scramble at Superstition Springs Golf Course Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021. This annual event connects the DSUHF with alumni and friends of the University living in the area or spending the winter months in the South.

These short presentations are intended to share powerful ideas from notable thought leaders with the general public. While TED Talks are focused on a more global approach, there are also TEDx Talks, which are independently organized for specific communities.
