Heather Fahy and Osamudiamen Naomi Uwagbai were named Dickinson State University’s (DSU) 2022 Outstanding Graduates during the Outstanding Graduate awards ceremony held Friday, May 13, in the DSU Student Center Ballroom.
Nineteen students have been nominated by their respective departments for Dickinson State University’s (DSU) 2022 Outstanding Graduate Award. This award is the highest honor bestowed on graduating seniors by the University.
The following students will be honored by Dickinson State University at the Outstanding Graduate ceremony Friday, May 13, at 3 p.m. in the DSU Student Center Ballroom where the winner(s) will be announced.
Sarah Dobitz and John McDaniel were named Dickinson State University’s (DSU) 2021 Outstanding Graduates, the highest honor bestowed on graduating seniors by the University. Both are Dickinson natives who graduated from DSU Saturday, May 15, Dobitz with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and McDaniel with a bachelor’s degree in biology.

Eighteen students have been nominated by their respective departments for Dickinson State University’s (DSU) 2021 Outstanding Graduate Award. This award is the highest honor bestowed on graduating seniors by the University.
Justin Ward ’18 recently presented a handmade saddle at the Dickinson State University (DSU) Agriculture Building. He crafted the saddle with guidance from Master Dave Urlacher as part of the North Dakota Council on the Arts Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program. The detailing on Ward’s saddle was completed freehand, and he has turned his craft into a business. Ward takes custom orders for his saddles, and business is booming – he is currently booked through the month of March.

Implemented in 1981, the Outstanding Graduate Award is the highest honor bestowed on two graduating seniors by the University. Dworshak and Sease were nominated along with 18 other students by faculty in their academic departments for exceptional performance in their fields of study.
