Dickinson State University (DSU) Bismarck Instructor of Education and Educational Programs & Data Coordinator Pamela Krueger recently received her doctorate in teaching and learning from the University of North Dakota. Krueger, who has research interests in early reading, writing, and spelling skills along with dyslexia, presented her dissertation titled “Teacher Knowledge of Dyslexia and Foundational Reading Skills.”

Freedman Fowler co-authors paper naming new species of dinosaur

The name Ornatops incantatus comes from a combination of Greek and Latin words meaning “enchanted ornate face.” This combination references the dinosaur’s skull and where it was found: New Mexico, or “the Land of Enchantment.”

A research paper naming a new species of dinosaur co-authored by Dr. Elizabeth Freedman Fowler, assistant professor of biology at Dickinson State University (DSU), was recently published in PeerJ, an open-access scientific journal.

DSU Heritage Foundation hires Kyle Smith, promotes Alicia Erickson

The DSU Heritage Foundation (DSUHF) recently made two significant changes to its team. Alicia Erickson ’00 was promoted in December from director of alumni relations to the position of development officer for alumni. Kyle Smith ’12 was hired as the development officer for athletics and rodeo.
