On March 24-26, the DSU chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) traveled to Bismarck for the North Dakota Music Educators Association (NDMEA) annual conference.

The NDMEA conference is a great way for DSU NAfME members to experience what music teachers do outside the classroom. DSU students were able to participate in professional development alongside expert educators and attend rehearsals and concerts for the ND All-State music groups. These future music educators also spent time connecting with other collegiate NAfME members, industry representatives, and music education insiders.

DSU NAfME students shared that they look forward to another fun and educational NDMEA conference in 2023, where they will promote music on campus, interact with local music teachers, and participate in professional activities in their field of study!
