Jeb Williams ’97 appointed new ND Game and Fish Department director

Jeb Williams ’97 has been appointed the director of the North Dakota Game and Fish Department! This DSU alumnus was a Blue Hawk wrestler and earned his bachelor’s in biology in 1997.

A native of Beach, ND, Jeb has worked for Game and Fish since 1999 and was named chief of the department’s Wildlife Division in 2014.

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department oversees permitting for hunting, fishing, and boating with 165 full-time workers and a biannual budget of $92 million.

Congratulations, Jeb!

On Monday, Aug. 16, during the annual State of the University address, Dickinson State University (DSU) President Steve Easton and his executive team spoke of the resiliency of DSU.

Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020-21 academic year was challenging yet, in many ways, successful for the University.

Thanks to Dennis and Vaune Johnson’s generous gift that established Dickinson State University’s (DSU) first endowed chair, we at the University are pleased to welcome New York Times bestselling author, distinguished historian, and award-winning professor Stacy Cordery, who has a doctorate in history, as the Dennis & Vaune Johnson Endowed Chair for Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Studies and as the Director of the Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program.

The DSU Heritage Foundation has awarded Dickinson State University (DSU) students $1.1 million dollars in scholarships for the 2021-22 upcoming school year. Awards include merit-based, need-based, academic, leadership, athletic, and rodeo scholarships.
