Your health and the health of our community is paramount.

While the best practices of living and working with COVID-19 are constantly evolving, Dickinson State University (DSU) wants to update you with our plans for the spring 2021 Semester. At this time, DSU plans to continue offering our courses with the same flexible options that we have been using during the fall 2020 semester.

Safety precautions that were utilized during the fall 2020 semester will continue to be used. These precautions include wearing masks, social distancing as much as possible, and hand and desk sanitizer. DSU students will continue to have the following educational options:

• Students enrolled in a Face-To-Face/DSU Hybrid course sections should first choose to attend class in person.
• Most classes will also have synchronous and asynchronous options; however, some courses and programs will require face-to-face attendance (ex: labs, clinicals, and nursing).
• Students may be asked to notify faculty when they cannot attend face-to-face.
• Classes will continue to be held in the largest space available to attempt to adhere to COVID caps.
• Masks will be worn by students and faculty. Students and faculty will practice social distancing when possible.
• Students are advised to continue to use hand sanitizer upon entering the classroom and to disinfect their desk with wipes at the start and end of class (sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are provided).

• Students enrolled in Online-Synchronous/DSU Live Online course sections will attend class online synchronously and actively participate in the course.
• Students can log in from anywhere at the assigned class time. They may be asked to enable camera and microphone access.
• Classes will be recorded for students to access if they are unable to attend.
• Course materials will be provided in Blackboard and supported learning platforms.

• Students enrolled in Online-Asynchronous course sections will participate in class online asynchronously and view recorded lectures.
• Course materials will be provided in Blackboard and supported learning platforms.
